On Saturday, Feb. 17, students and faculty from the Hudson Valley Dental Hygiene Department traveled to Stewart Air National Guard Base for the Special Olympics athletic competitions.
During the weekend games, faculty and staff helped to provide dental screenings, oral self care instructions and athletic mouth guards to help ensure the athletes oral safety. This is the fifth Special Olympic games that the department has been a part of and we look forward to being a part of the upcoming summer games as well.
